After a weekend of snow delayed the project, the MTA's finally gets under way this weekend, wreaking havoc on the lives of anyone who frequents the F/G line in South Brooklyn for at least the next year.
Here's you weekly dose of weekend service changes:
- This weekend, the F train will not run between Jay Street-MetroTech and Church Avenue in preparation for the Culver Viaduct work. Instead, a free shuttle bus will replace the train.
- Ditto for the G train, which will be replaced by a free shuttle bus between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue. Begining Monday, both trains will provide only Brooklyn-bound service at Smith-9th Streets and 15th Street-Prospect Park through May, in addition to other service changes explained in detail .
- R train service will be suspended in entirety this weekend.
- New Lots Avenue-bound 4 trains will skip Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway stations.
- Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 trains will skip Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway stations.
