Brooklyn Assault Victim Dies After Trauma To Head

NYPD responded to a 911 call on Sunday for a man assaulted in Boerum Hill. He was pronounced DOA at LICH.


A Brooklyn man assaulted in Boerum Hill was pronounced dead on Sunday by medical examiners at Long island College Hospital.

On Sunday, April 21, at approximately 6:27 a.m. officers of the 84th Precinct responded to a 911 call that a man was being assaulted at 50 Nevins Street, according to police reports.

Upon arriving at the scene, cops observed a male, black, age 45 who had suffered trauma to the head, cops said. Emergency Medical Services immediately responded to the site and transported the victim to Long Island College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident. The investigation is considered to be ongoing. 

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
