Workers Sues, Says He Was Fired For Peeing Outside on Job in Red Hook

Man claims he was fired after admitting to urinating outside during his job at Red Hook piers.

A man, whose name has not been released, is suing after he claimed in a lawsuit filed Tuesday he was fired for peeing outside, according to a report in the New York Post.

The man was hired a year ago by Ceres Atlantic Terminals, which operates on Pier 12 in Red Hook, as a timekeeper. He says that on days he was on site in which the Ceres offices (and bathrooms) were closed, he was forced to pee outside. He says he suffers from diabetes, which causes him to have to relieve himself frequently.
“On several occasions…he was required to urinate outdoors, because he could not reach the bathroom in time to avoid having an accident,” court papers state.

He was reportedly fired after admitting to urinating outdoors near the Brooklyn pier.
