Chanukah Tunes, Tree Lighting and More

What's happening this week in and around Carroll Gardens.

The holiday weekend is over and December is underway. Here's a look at what's ahead this week in and around Carroll Gardens.

1. We will enjoy unseasonably warm weather during the week with highs in the 50s at times and partly cloudy skies.

2. Enjoy 'Twisted Chanukah Tunes' with Yoni Kretzer at the Greenpoint Shul Monday at 6:30 p.m.

3. The Annual Atlantic Avenue Tree Lighting kicks off at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Belarusian Church to be officiated by Councilmember Stephen Levin.

4. Sr. Ave will present an evening of reflection and prayer to support those struggling with loss, grief and bereavement as the holiday season begins at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

5. Then on Thursday join Msgr. Guy Massie and Rabbi David Kline for an evening of reflection and discussion on the Advent Scriptures.
