Pacific St. Association Invites Neighborhood To 15th Annual Block Party

Summer in the city equals dancing (and BBQ!) in the streets.

The joys of Brooklyn summers are too numerous to mention. But one tradition that never loses its luster is the endless stream of summer block parties, when neighbors join neighbors in the middle of the street for food, games, and other sunny merriment.

This year, the Pacific Street Block Association will celebrate its 15th Annual Block Party and it's inviting those from beyond its borders to participate in the fun.

On Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., between Smith Street and Boerum Place, the block association will be offering up BBQ, beverages, music, entertainment performed by the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater Company, games and more "for a donation of only $10 in advance and $15 day of the event," according to organizers.

To make a donation, contact Maria Maldonado at 718-855-3932.
