The neighborhood branch must undergo asbestos abatement and roof repair.

If you've been drafting a summer reading list for the beach, make haste to the and borrow your books this week. The building will close at 6:00 p.m. on Friday June 15 and won't reopen for at least another two months while under construction.

All books that remain checked out from the library after June 15 can be returned to other Brooklyn Public Library locations.

A staffmember noted that all Carroll Gardens Library workers "have been reassigned for the next two months."
