Nets Lose Again; Coaching Issues Continue

Nets fall to 5-13, assistant Lawrence Frank demoted.

What many labeled as a slow start to the season has become a full-blown disaster.

The Brooklyn Nets fell to the Denver Nuggets Tuesday, 111-87, in their 13th loss of the season. It was already their fifth loss at the Barclays Center out of seven home games. Joe Johnson led the team with 22 points, but the Nets shot just 40-percent from the field and were a dreadful 2-for-16 from three-point range.

Amidst the mess on the court is a controversy on the bench between new head coach Jason Kidd and former assistant coach Lawrence Frank. Frank was recently demoted from his position on the bench, and ESPN reports that the two had 'friction'.
