Brooklyn Nets Fall to 3-7; Kidd to Blame?

Rookie head coach Jason Kidd taking on criticism.

A nightmare start to the 2013 season continued for the Brooklyn Nets as they fell to 3-7 on the season after a 108-98 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

After getting out to an early lead the Nets couldn't overcome a miserable third quarter in which they were outscored 27-15. Paul Pierce was just 2-for-12 from the field and missed all five of his three point shots. Shaun Livingston led the team with 23 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a dreadful shooting night as the Nets shot just 37 percent on the night.

The team with championship aspirations at the start of the season has now lost five of their last six games. With so much talent on the team, many have pointed the blame to rookie head coach Jason Kidd.

Kidd even blamed himself after Monday's loss, saying it was "just bad coaching" on his part.
