Are you an artist between the ages of 7 and 18 interested in developing and showing your work in a professional setting? If yes, then plan on attending the mandatory orientation workshop for interested artists and their parents to learn more about the program and the process of developing original work.
YouthWorks (formerly Kids Outback) was founded in 1991 and is free to all participants. The program helps young people (ages 7-18) to imagine, create, and perform their own original performance work. Professional artists work as coaches to guide young artists through an 8-week creative process. Past performances have included plays, dances, poetry in performance, original songs, and a movie short.
