Using Food as Medicine: An Eastern Approach to Nutrition
This lecture and discussion will focus on Chinese Medicine's perspective on nutrition. Topics covered will include: basic concepts of eastern nutrition and basic temperature properties of common foods to help heal constitutional conditions, eating for the season, how to use foods to strengthen the digestive system and immune system, as well as foods to promote weight loss and for general detoxification. A thorough handout and simple snack will be provided.
