LICH Heart Challenge

Long Island College Hospital (LICH) will be participating in National Go Red for Women Day on Friday, February 4th, 2011. The Go Red Movement is a national movement founded by the American Heart Association to help raise awareness about the No. 1 killer of American women; heart disease and stroke.

LICH will be providing free blood pressure screenings, giveaways and prizes, together with educational materials about heart disease and stroke. The event will be held in the Main Lobby of 339 Hicks Street from 11am - 1 pm.

 Additionally, the LICH Cardiology Department is hosting 3 challenges to all participants:

  1. Longest distance walked in 3 months
  2. Most reduced blood pressure in 3 moths
  3. BEST RED OUTFIT

 Register between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at the Red Dress Event in the waiting area of LICH’s main entrance- 339 Hicks St. (between Atlantic Ave. and Amity St.).
