Farm City / Green Edge NYC Sustainability Speakers Series

Farm City / Green Edge NYC Sustainability Speakers Series:

On Wednesday June 8th at 7:00pm Green Edge NYC will be hosting its next installment of The Sustainability Speakers Series, which features local nonprofits and businesses that are making a difference in our community. The upcoming lecture will focus on issues surrounding energy.

Green Mountain Energy Company is the nation’s leading competitive retail provider of cleaner energy and carbon offset solutions. The company was founded with the mission to change the way power is made and remains the only provider in the nation that’s dedicated to this mission. Green Mountain offers New York City residents the opportunity to choose Pollution Freesm electricity, made from 100% renewable New York wind and water sources.

Since the company’s inception, Green Mountain customers have avoided 11.3 billion pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, which is equivalent to planting over 478 million trees or taking all the taxis in New York City off the road for 14 years!
