Delaney Speech Contest

Students get four minutes to make the case to earn part of the $1,000 in prize money at the Annual Delaney Speech Contest on Tuesday, April 24 at 4:30pm in the St. Francis College Callahan Center.

Each contestant must make an extemporaneous speech in less than four minutes on any topic they choose. In the past, students have used different styles of persuasion, ranging from comedy to emotional stories of personal experiences. Speeches have covered a wide range of topics, including legal issues, medical causes and religious ideas.
