Barclays Signs at P.S. 58 Defaced

Messages condemning rich white people were stuck to schoolyard advertising.

The writing is on the wall.

Apparently, someone doesn't like the attached to the schoolyard.

Pardon Me For Asking noticed that two stickers were affixed to one of the two Barclays signs at the school.

They read, respectively:

"Crazy, Crazy (Rich) White People!"

"When Will It End?"

While the message is a bit unclear -- are the saboteurs condeming Barclays or the school? -- one thing is certain: the signs are now defaced.

The signs, which appeared on the fence earlier this month, display the Barclays Center (a.k.a. ) and Nets logos, and the slogan “Building Success Together.”

Barclays spokesman Joe DePlasco said it was up to the school to clean the signs.

Joan Bredthauer, Parent Coordinator at P.S. 58, said the stickers would be taken down immediately.

"We'll take care of it," she said in an email.
