Pedestrian Bridge Over BQE Closed For Three Months

The bridge connecting Carroll Gardens and Red Hook is out of service.

The pedestrian bridge that connects Hicks Street and Hamilton Avenue in Carroll Gardens and Henry and Coles streets in Red Hook is closed for repairs until October 1.

Pedestrians should now cross underneath the expressway at Clinton Street, 3 blocks south of the bridge.

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, signs will indicate the detour route, and will be placed on either side of the bridge.
