LICH Staff, Nurses Rally in Retaliation to Ambulance Diversion

Outraged, members of NYSNA and others protested Thursday's service cuts by SUNY Downstate officials.

In reaction to Thursday morning's cuts to ambulance services at Long Island College Hospital, nurses and other supporters staged an impromptu protest in Brooklyn.

"RNs respond to SUNY's criminal diversion. Will do whatever it takes to keep our vital hospital #Open4Care," tweeted the NYSNA, calling upon others to join them in Cobble Hill.

A second rally including children is planned for Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m.
