Last Chance: Participatory Budgeting Vote in Carroll Gardens

Welcome to Last Chance, a reminder to stay on top of needful tasks and important deadlines. 

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week Carroll Gardens Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

Today the deadline is looming to vote for the projects you think deserve funding on the Ballot for Participatory Budgeting. Voting will be held today, Saturday and Sunday .

Some of the amazing ideas being considered are...

A Gowanus composting project that would take kitchen scraps in local neighborhoods. Currently, kitchen scraps collected at greenmarkets are shipped out of state.

A Carroll Gardens Library Community Room that would provide affordable, quality evening meeting space in the neighborhood.

A Help Point at Carroll Street Subway station, so people can request assistance or make and emergency call.
