Atlantic Frantic: Activists Plan Fundraiser for LICH
It's not over yet, Brooklyn.
A fundraiser to support the ongoing fight to save Long Island College Hospital in Cobble Hill has been scheduled for June 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm at 320 Atlantic Avenue, between Smith and Hoyt Streets.
According to organizers, this will be the first in a series of pop-up fundraising and awareness events to protect the community's access to healthcare, and help pay for legal fees.
"We need LICH to continue and improve providing full service healthcare to our ever-expanding population," said Julie Semente, RN, in an e-mail to Patch. "Seconds from reaching an emergency room can save your life or that of a loved one."
