Woman Robbed, Credit Cards Used Carroll Gardens

Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman on the 'D' train and used her credit cards in Carroll Gardens.

According to police, a 36-year-old woman was on on the 'D' train in the vicinity of Pacific Street on Dec. 17 6:45 a.m. when she realized that her wallet was missing. Less than a half hour later, the suspect used one of the her credit cards at Smith Finest Deli located at 285 Smith Street.

Anyone with information in regards to this grand larceny is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

Dear Editor: The "D" train goes through Carroll Gardens? I don't think so. Try the "F" or the "G."

So a male buys whatever with a credit card that has a female's name on it. Huh? Whatever amount was spent should be deducted from employee's salary. Loss of wages is a great teaching method.
