Woman Robbed by Man on a Bike

The following arrest information was supplied by the 76th Precinct. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery on Smith Street

A 49-year-old woman was robbed on the corner of Smith and Luquer streets at 10:50pm on August 20th.

According to the victim, the man approached from behind on a bike,  knocking the woman to the ground.

The thief made away with a brown pocket book, valued at $58, a burgundy wallet valued at $85, $35 cash and assorted ATM and credit cars and keys. The victim was left with cut on her hand and was treated at the scene.The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with straight hair.

Attempted Robbery on Smith street

 A 24-year-old male was approached by a man attempting to snatch his phone at 1:29 a.m. on August 21st between Douglas and Degraw streets. According to police reports the aggressor approached with his fists up, yelling for the victim to hand over his phone while attempting to throw punches.

The attempted robber, Paul Cianciolo, 27, was quickly nabbed on the scene by Police Officer David Sanon of the 76th Precinct. No injuries were sustained during the incident.

Residential Burglary

The home of a 62-year-old female Cobble Hill resident was burglarized sometime between 11:30 a.m. on August 16th and 6:00 a.m. August 17th. The robbery occurred on Henry street between Degraw and Kane streets. Cops believe the thief, or thieves, entered through a first floor window that was left opened. They then left through the front door, leaving the door unlocked and opened.

The robbers took a Toshiba Netbook worth $360.


Amity Street House Burglarized

While he was out, the home of a 45-year-old male, located on Amity street between Clinton and Court streets, was burglarized on August 20th.

Police say the incident occurred sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Police say the suspects may have entered through the front door, leaving the premise through the ground floor front gate. The victim is unsure if the front door was locked.

The burglars took a Dell laptop, as well as a Lenovo laptop valued at $509.
