Wanted: NYPD Searching for Subway Phone Snatcher

The 84th Precinct has released a photo of an individual suspected of robbery.


The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in tracking an individual wanted in connection to a robbery in the confines of the 84th Precinct's transit system.

On Saturday, Dec. 22, at approximately 2:15 p.m. while riding a Northbound "A" train entering the Jay Street subway station, an unidentified man snatched an iPhone from the hand of a female, 29.

When the victim tried to reclaim her property, the thief pushed her aside and fled, according to police.

Cops describe the suspect as a male, black, between the ages of 50 and 55. He is approximately 5 foot 9, weighs 190 to 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red skull cap, dark green jacket and dark colored pants.
