Wanted: Macy's Purse Pirate Steals Credit Cards, Then Shops

The NYPD is searching for a female suspect wanted for a series of thefts taking place in the 84th Precinct.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a female suspect wanted in connection with four grand larcenies that occurred within the confines of the 84 Precinct, which include Boerum Hill. In each instance, the victim's purse was removed while shopping inside Macy's, located at 422 Fulton Street.

The thief has repeatedly used victims' credit cards to make unauthorized purchases afterward. Following are the details of the four incidents:

1. On Saturday, April 13 at approximately 6:00 p.m., a victim's purse was taken, and the thief subsequently made purchases with stolen credit cards. 

2. On Wednesday, April 17 at approximately 4:45 p.m., a victim's purse was taken, and the thief again made purchases with stolen credit cards. 

3. On Friday, April 19 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a victim's purse was taken, and the thief made additional purchases with stolen credit cards. 

4. On Tuesday, April 23 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a victim's purse was stolen, and the suspect made purchases with stolen credit cards. The video still attached to the gallery was taken on April 23.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
