Seven Cops Injured While Arresting Van Brunt Criminal

Injuries included one broken hand and four officers bitten, among others.


A man injured seven officers of the 76th Precinct last week while resisting arrest, cops said.

On Monday, October 15 at 2:50 a.m. an unknown man entered a building along Van Brunt Street, breaking various windows in the process. When police arrived at the scene, the individual was immediately apprehended but then violently resisted arrest, according to police reports.

Four responders were bitten, one 25-year-old officer suffered a broken hand, while others sustained various other injuries such as muscle sprains, cops said.

Tokunbo Omoshebi, 37, was subsequently arrested and charged.
