Police Search for Man Wanted for Brooklyn Bank Robberies

Man wanted for robbing one bank and attempting to rob two others.

 

The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in finding a man wanted for three bank robberies over the course of one week. In each instance the man passed a note to the teller demanding money.

At approximately 11:18 a.m. on Jan. 22, the suspect robbed a Carver Federal Savings Bank located at 4 Hanson Place within the 78th Precinct. He got away with an unknown amount of cash.

Then at approximately 12:33 p.m. on Jan. 28 the man robbed a Popular Community Bank located at 2913 3rd Ave. within the 40th Precinct. In this instance, he didn't get away with any money.  

Later that same day at 2:21 p.m., the man robbed an Investors Bank located at 399 Atlantic Ave. Again, he fled without getting any money.

The suspect is described as white man between the ages of 30- and 40-years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He also has a scar or cut above his left eye. 

 

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
