Police Search for Armed Robber

Man wanted for 11 known robberies or attempted robberies of Brooklyn businesses.

 

Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a man wanted for a series of armed robberies of businesses in Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene, Kensington and Prospect Heights. He also robbed one business in Manhattan. During each of these incidents, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money.

On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at approximately 9:50 p.m., the suspect entered the Tasti D-Lite at 339 7th Ave, showed a black firearm, demanded money and then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

On Monday, Oct. 22 at approximately 8:15 p.m., the suspect robbed a 19-year-old employee at Blue Marble Ice Cream at 196 Court St at gunpoint. In total, $337 was stolen from the store. 

Later that week on Friday, Oct. 26 at approximately 8 p.m., the suspect entered the store located at 409 7th Ave. and fled without an undetermined amount of money. He then immediately made his way back to the Tasti-D-Lite at 339 7th Ave., where he again stole an unknown amount of money.

Two days later on Sunday, Oct. 28 at approximately 3:15 p.m., the suspect robbed the Subway restaurant at 216 Atlantic Ave.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at approximately 12:40 p.m. the suspect entered a Subway restaurant at 713 Fulton St. He ” The worker ran to back of the store as the perp was unable to open the register. 

Then, on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 4:07 p.m. he returned to 409 7th Ave. where he demanded money and fled with an unknown amount of cash. Later that day, at 4:45 p.m. the suspect robbed the cleaners at 329 East 2nd St. 

On Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:22 p.m. the suspect robbed another Subway restaurant located at 216 Atlantic Ave., and fled with an undetermined amount of money. The next day on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 4:45 p.m., the suspect robbed the cleaners at 649 Vanderbilt Ave.

Then, on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 6:10 p.m., the suspect returned to the Tasti-D-Lite at 339 7th Ave. and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. 

The suspect made his way to Manhattan the next day, Monday, Nov. 5, and robbed a movie theater located at 400 East 62nd St. 

Though no one was hurt in any of these incidents, the suspect did have a gun.

The suspect is described as a black male between 40 and 50 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall and weighing 120 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans and white sneakers.
