Police Blotter: Unlocked Doors and Windows Led to Two Break-Ins, More

The following arrest information was supplied by the 76th Precinct. It does not indicate a conviction.

$4,800 Stolen from Local Distributing Business

A break-in occurred on Dyckman between Ferris Street and the dead end sometime between 5:30 p.m., January 19 through 7:40 a.m., January 20. A 30-year-old male reported the incident at 11:44 a.m. on January 20, alleging that unknown individuals had entered the commercial distributor through the window to the financial office. There was no damage to the window or signs of other forced entry because the window had been left unlocked. The burglar removed $4,800, which was in an envelope in a file cabinet drawer inside the office.

Basement Break-In on Clinton Street

On January 27, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. an unknown suspect broke into a home on Clinton Street between Congress and Warren Streets. The victim was a 49-year-old woman. She asserts that one or more persons entered her home through a closed but unlocked basement door, then removed property. Missing items include a digital camera ($150), a Flip video camera ($100), and $80 made up of four $20 bills.

 

Blackberry Snatched on Court Street Sidewalk

While walking on Court St betweel Nelson and Luquer Streets on January 23 at 6:10 p.m., a woman, 24, says she was approached by a female suspect who forcibly removed the victim's Verizon Blackberry ($50) while displaying a silver knife. A search of the area following the event yielded no results. There were no injuries to victim.

 

Female Arrested For Stealing From Pharmacy

On January 25 at 1:45 p.m. a robbery took place on Court Street between 1st and 2nd Place. A 33-year-old male reported that an unknown woman was attempting to remove assorted shampoos, lotions, powders, shaving lather, and other items from the store—biting and punching others in an effort to remove the products described without paying for them. Following an immediate search  of the surrounding area, Iris Chico, 29, was arrested by Police Officer Lang from the 76th Precinct.
