Police Blotter: Osaka Raided, Woman Robbed, Pricey Bike Burgled

This week's Police Blotter for the 76th Precinct

The following arrest information was supplied by the 76th Precinct. It does not indicate a conviction.

Armed Robbery on Clinton Street

On February 19, at appoximately 7:15 p.m., a 32-year-old woman was walking along Fourth Place toward the corner of Clinton Street when two 14-year-old unknown males ran up behind her. One of the suspects grabbed her shoulder then shoved a black firearm into her ribs, saying, “Gimme your bag." The assailant then punched her in the face. Within moments, the suspects had grabbed her purse and run toward the nearby foot bridge. Later, after canvassing the area, the police found the victim's bag discarded at the foot bridge with the following contents missing: two wallets ($150), a set of keys, 3 credit cards, 1 debit card, a New Jersey drivers license.

Register Raided at Osaka Restaurant

Osaka restaurant, located at 272 Court Street between Butler and Douglass Streets, was reportedly robbed sometime between midnight on Wednesday, February 15 and 11:45 a.m. the following day. The intruders entered the establishment through a window adjacent to the front door, causing damage to it. Once inside, they removed a cash-register drawer containing $235 then fled through same window. No arrests have been made.

Burglar Steals Bike in the Middle of the Night

A 31-year-old Court Street resident recently reported that on Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m., a Cannondale bike valued at $1000 was stolen from the hallway in his building. The victim is the only tenant living in the building and doesn’t know how intruders got inside of his property, as there were no signs of forced entry.
