Carroll Gardens Cars Targeted for Acts of Criminal Mischief and Larceny

Criminal mischief was afoot at the intersection of Court Street and 2nd Place from Saturday, March 9 at 4 p.m. through March 10 at 1:50 p.m., said cops. During that time, unknown individuals intentionally egged the driver's side window of a 2009 Nissan Rogue, 4-door grey sedan. The hoodlums also keyed the car along the bumper on driver’s side, causing at least $1,000 in damage. The victim is a male, 61.

Another vehicle was the target of a crime along the 400 block of Baltic Street, according to police reports. At some point between Thursday, March 7 at 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. on March 8, an unknown individual removed 4 tires and 4 rims from a parked blue 2004 Subaru Impreza, 4-door sedan. Thieves took 4 Subaru stock rims ($1,440) and 4 Bridgestone tires ($800). The victim is a female, 36.

A burglary took place on the 80th block of Visitation Place over the weekend, cops said. At some point between 11 a.m. on March 10 and 3 p.m. that same day an unknown individual broke through a side window and entered a residence there with the intention of committing a crime. The following items are now missing: Samsung TV ($2500), 14k gold chain ($5,000), yellow metal cross pendant ($3,500), ring ($1,500) and a 14k gold watch ($2,500). The victim is a male, 29. There were no witnesses, cops said.

Apartment Door Vandalized on Baltic Street

A residence at 423 Baltic Street was the victim of vandalism on Thursday, March 7 between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., cops said. The victim stated that upon arriving at her home she observed damage to the front apt door. A similar incident happened three months ago at the same location. 

Three Teens Arrested in Connection To Jumping Fellow Student

Three arrests were made at the school located at 284 Baltic Street, cops said. On Wednesday, March 6 at 8:50 a.m. a young girl reported to police that she stopped in front of her school when she was jumped by a group of female teens who beat her. The victim recognized two of the attackers as her peers. The 16-year-old suffered pain to her neck and swelling of the left eye as a result. Two 16-year-olds and one 15-year-old have since been arrested and charged with gang assault in connection with the incident.
