Man Steals Beef Jerky, Condoms and More

The Rite Aid, located at 182 Smith St. was the victim of shoplifting on Monday, Jan. 14 at 4:19 p.m., cops said. The arresting officer was informed by a witness that offending crook tried to remove various property belonging to the store, including Pringles, beef jerky, three Lifesavers rolls, six boxes of Trojans and $5 worth of ‘No-Grip’. Upon being searched, the crook was also found to have had a bag full of alleged marijuana and a stack of stolen credit cards in his posession. Kevin Edwards, 21, was charged with posession of stolen property and marijuana.

Man Robbed by Two Assailants on Baltic

A man was robbed by two assailants opposite 372 Baltic St. on Sunday, Jan. 13. At approximately 10:40 p.m., the victim was approached by two male blacks. The first, who was wearing a brown sweater, punched the victim in the face. The pair then took his iPhone 4 ($200) before throwing him against a vehicle, said cops. The victim, 16, stated he walked through the park and followed both individuals toward Gowanus, until they took off. In addition to the missing personal item, he suffered pain to left side of his face.

Man Cons Union St. Super Wash with Fake Currency

A petty larceny took place at a dry cleaners on Union Street, said cops. The Union Street Super Wash was the victim of fraudulent transactions on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 3:50 p.m. According to the report, a man purchased various items, including a laundry bag ($5), fabric softener ($2) and detergent in three different instances using three $100 bills that turned out to be fake currency. The criminal was able to obtain $287 in change from the business through the purchases.

Five Males Attack Deliveryman at Gowanus Houses

Five males with hooded sweatshirts grabbed a courier mid-delivery at the Gowanus Houses, acording to police. At a third-floor apartment located at 414 Baltic St. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. the assailants jumped the deliveryman, taking his wallet, one Metro PCS cell phone, one Mexican passport and $180 cash. 

Apartment Ransacked for Apple Products

An apartment on the 400 block of Henry St. was broken into some time between Friday, Jan. 11 at 11:45p.m. and 6:30 a.m. the next morning, said cops. The victim told police that the individual(s) entered the apartment through front unlocked door, though it had been locked. The criminal took a black iPod ($100), a MacBook Pro laptop ($2000), a blue Nano ($75), purple Nano ($75), and an iPhone 4 ($200). The victim is a female, 36.

Shoplifter Tries to Lift Pain Relievers from CVS

CVS, located at 395 Court St. was the victim of a shoplifter on Friday, Jan. 11 at 10:15 a.m. when a man removed five boxes of Advil and three boxes of Motrin, then placed them in his jacket. The total number of stolen items were valued at $48.48. Davis Shedrick, 45, was arrested for the crime.
