Photo Quipment Snapped Up on Henry Street

Someone removed more than $1700 worth of photo equipment from a grey 2009 Lexus between 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 15, and 9:15 a.m. January 16. The car, which is used by the 35-year-old male victim for business purposes, was parked at the corner of Henry and 4th place. It has been determined that someone entered the car through a passenger side window, stealing three photogenic strobes ($1500) and three soft boxes ($300).

A 14-year-old boy was assaulted by two unknown suspects on Bond Street between Baltic and Warren on Tuesday, January 17. At 11:30 p.m., two males, approximately 18 years old, approached the victim from behind. One struck him on the back of the head, causing him to fall. The pair then kicked him as he lay on the ground. After removing a $300 True Religion denim jacket from the victim, the assailants fled. The victim was taken to Long Island College Hospital for his injuries.

Missing Purse in Public School

A purse was robbed at the Brooklyn School for Global Studies on Monday, January 9 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. The victim, 54, did not report the incident until the 17th. She alleges that she left her bag inside of a classroom. While left unattended, an unknown perpetrator stole a wallet from the bag, taking the victim's drivers license, $35, a medical card, $300 Target/Visa and two MasterCards.

Victim of Violence on Luquer

A 43-year-old man was assaulted on Luquer and Clinton Streets on Thursday, January 19. At 6:15 p.m. the victim was approached by two unknown men. One punched the victim in the face, causing him to bleed from the nose. A 19-year-old white male was arrested and charged with assaultery. The other suspect has yet to be apprehended.

Heroin Arrest on Hoyt Street

Undercover cops arrested two men at the Northwest corner of Hoyt and Baltic Streets, on Friday, January 20. The cops had observed two men in a hand-to-hand drug transaction between 1:30 p.m. -1:44 p.m. When the officers approached the suspects, a 48-year-old male attempted to throw one deck of heroin to the ground. The other suspect, 57, was found with $20 on him. Arrests were made for criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal sale of controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Multiple-Assailant Mugging on Baltic Street

On Friday, January 20 at 4:45 a.m., police responded to Long Island College Hospital to interview a 42-year-old male victim who was recovering from being attacked. The victim stated that he had left his home on Baltic Street between Hoyt and Bond Streets and was on his way to the store when three men—between the ages of 17 and 20, all wearing black hooded jacket, black jeans and tan boots—struck victim from behind with an unknown object and stole his iPhone, iPad and wallet containing his Social Security Card and license. The victim sustained injuries to his left hand, left knee and back of the head. The suspects are still at large.

Burglary on 2nd Place

A home was burgled on 2nd Place near Court Street on January 21 at 1:45 p.m. Unknown individual(s) allegedly entered the home through an unlocked side entrance and removed a black wallet ($10) containing a drivers license, Capital One credit card, $80 in cash, as well as a Verizon LG phone ($50).
