One Lane of Traffic Open On Court Street

Street still dug up

Yesterday, a under Court Street between 1st and 2nd Place. The mess is less wet today, but the road has a gaping T-shaped hole in it.

Workers were digging in the hole this afternoon and one lane of the street is open to traffic, though the NYPD is directing most vehicles away from the site.

"It is still unknown at this time how long the work will take to complete," read a statement from the 76 Precinct. "Should Court Street need to be closed again, a new traffic diversion plan has been established between the 76th Precinct and the Traffic Agents that should reduce the traffic congestion that was experienced earlier."
