Update: NYPD Seeks Public's Assistance To Find Missing Bay Ridge Girl

At 11:47 p.m. police reported that the missing girl, Evelyn Benitez, was found this evening in Queens in good health.

A young girl went missing from her home in Bay Ridge on Saturday morning, according to police.

The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in locating Evelyn Benitez, age 9. Benitez was last seen on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at 839 Bay Ridge Avenue, between 8th Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway.

She is described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall, weighing 65 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She may still be in the Brooklyn area.

Anyone with information in regard to this missing girl is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website atWWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
