Man Wanted for Police Impersonation, Robbery in Boerum Hill

Police looking for man who robbed a woman inside apartment building on Nevins Street.

Police are searching for a man who impersonated a police officer and robbed a woman in Boerum Hill on Nov. 15.

According to police, a man said he was a police officer and forcibly took a purse from a woman inside of 185 Nevins St. at 1 a.m.

He is described as a six-foot-tall white man with a thin build. He was wearing a gray and black sweater, black cap, jeans and dark shoes at the time of the robbery. 

Anyone with information can call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), submit tips on the Crime stoppers website or text 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
