Man Wanted for Sexual Abuse Aboard Q Train

The incident took place within the confines of the 84th Precinct.


On Friday morning, police issued an alert requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in regards to sexual abuse within the confines of the 84th Precinct. 

A victim reported to police that last month, on Friday, Nov. 12 at 8:35 am, while riding a Northbound "Q" train at DeKalb Avenue, an unknown man rubbed himself against inappropriately her while riding the train, cops said.

Police describe the suspect as a male, black, 35-40 years old, approximately 5'9", 160-190lbs. The victim described the man as wearing a tan skull cap and dark colored pants.

Anyone with information in regards to the sex abuse is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

An earlier version of this article read that the incident occurred on the F train, which the initial police report read. The incident actually occurred on the Q train.
