UPDATE: Man Shot in Both Legs on Hoyt Street

Detectives at the 76 Precinct are investigating.

Update: The man told police he was standing in front of the liquor store at 216 Hoyt. St. when he heard shots fired. He started running toward his mother's house, and was struck with two bullets; one above his left knee and the other at his right ankle. His mother called 911.

 

At 1 a.m. on Sunday, a 34-year-old male was shot once in each leg in front of 216 Hoyt Street, according to the 76 Precinct.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening and the 76th Precinct Detective Unit is investigating the incident.
