Man Assaulted by Group of Teens

Assault by teens:

A 33-year-old male was assaulted by a pack of teens likely just out of school on Tuesday, April 5 at 3:15 p.m., cops said. The teens attacked the man near Smith and 9th streets, causing bruising to his right hand and nose. Objects used in the attack include an umbrella and a backpack. Cops said the victim tried to walk away from the teens twice, only to be struck twice more.

Babysitter leaves door unlocked, apartment is robbed:

A 59-year-old female babysitter left a door unlocked on Verandah Place by Cobble Hill Park, resulting in a robbery, cops said. On March 30 at 3:15 p.m. the babysitter returned to the apartment with the kids and closed the door behind her, but forgot to lock it. She went upstairs and then heard "ruffling" downstairs. She went back down and found that her purse and her boss' wallet were missing. The babysitter looked outside and found some items, including the boss' wallet and her purse, under and near a trashcan and a flower pot, cops said. Missing items include $80 in cash and 4 credit cards.

At least 2 males stole a bounty of over the counter drugs from at 150 Court Street on Tuesday, April 5 at 3 p.m., cops said. The thieves got away with over $1,500 worth of Claritin and Zyrtec, among other items. Everything was caught on surveillance tapes, but no arrests have been made.

Many items stolen at a Smith Street bar:

A man brought a whole bunch of personal items, including his laundry, to on Smith Street, only to have it all stolen, cops said. The 38-year-old male went to the popular bar around 8 p.m. on Monday, April 4, and had all of his things next to him when they were stolen, cops said. The stolen items, including a Powerbook laptop, shoes, clothes, groceries and various kinds of headphones, add up to more than $4,000.

Brand new car found rimless, tireless:

A white, 2-door 2011 Infiniti convertable was found by its owner rimless and tireless at 127 Columbia St. on Tuesday, April 5. Cops said a 48-year-old male reported he parked the car around 2 p.m. and when he returned at 10 p.m. the rims and tires, worth $3,000, were missing.

Film editing software and laptop stolen from on set:

While a film crew was hard at work on Baltic Street near Bond Street, someone stole a MacBook Pro laptop worth $3,750, cops said. The owner of the computer, a 51-year-old male, said he was working on the third floor of a building when someone disconnected the computer and took it.
