Man Arrested in Connection to Cobble Hill Burglaries

The following arrest information was supplied by the 76th Precinct. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglar Arrested

A man was arrested on Saturday afternoon in connection to at least three residential burglaries in Cobble Hill.

The suspect, identified as Javon Calderon, is being held on $10,000 bail and is currently under further investigation.

Around 2:50 a.m. on Saturday the 27th, a woman woke to alarming noises and smells in her apartment on Congress Street between Hicks and Henry streets. The woman went into her living room to investigate and saw the intrudor, who ran out the front door. She then called the police. Nothing was reported missing from the scene.

The suspect was arrested later that day.

Detectives have connected Calderon to , including two robberies on Baltic Street that occured between August 12th and 13th - both between Henry and Clinton streets - and one on Sackett Street between Hoyt and Smith streets on August 8th.

The 76th Precinct is carrying out further investigations.
