A next door neighbor named Max, who only wanted to give his first name, was sweeping glass from his front stoop at 8 a.m. this morning. He said the firemen had broken the windows when they were fighting the fire.

"We heard a massive clatter of crowbars," he said. "We didn't hear a fire, but noise from the firemen doing their jobs."
