Employee Backpack, $400, Stolen from Inside Clover Club

Burglary at The Clover Club

A male employee of at 210 Smith St. was cleaning downstairs at the restaurant and cocktail lounge when his backpack was stolen off a table, cops said. The incident occurred on September 3 around 6:40 a.m.

The door to The Clover Club was open, but the restaurant was not open for business. Inside the 53-year-old male's backpack was a T-Mobile cell phone worth $150, Dr. Dre Beats headphones worth $169 and $421 cash.

Columbia Street apartment trashed, money taken

A 60-year-old resident of an apartment on Columbia Street near Degraw Street stepped out of his home on September 2 around noon to talk with some friends. He left the door unlocked and when he went back inside his couch was flipped over and his bedroom trashed, cops said. The thief or thieves made off with $350 in cash and keys to the apartment.

IPhone grab

A 23-year-old female was walking near the corner of Hoyt and Baltic streets on August 31 around 11:45 p.m. when a theif approached her from behind, grabbed her iPhone 3G, and ran off, cops said. The phone, in a black leather case, is worth $450.

Tires and rims stolen off brand new Honda

On August 30, a female, no age, returned to her 2011 blue Honda parked on Baltic Street near Bond Street to find it mounted on a cinder block with all the tires and rims removed, cops said. The incident occurred on August 30 between 3 and 8 a.m., and the value of the stolen items equals $3,120.

Masked robbery on Luquer

Two women were returning to a Luquer Street apartment on August 31 around 11 p.m. when they were approached by two men with t-shirts covering their faces, cops said. The women attemped to quickly get into the apartment, but one of the thugs first said "give me your purse" and proceeded to forcibly grab it from the 24-year-old victim.

The thieves got away with the brown Michael Kors purse, an iPhone 3G, $50 in cash, three credit cards and a $100 wallet. The thieves fled on foot toward Red Hook.

Man attempts to steal medication from Rite-Aid

An attempted robbery took place at Rite-Aid on Smith and President streets on September 3 around 8 a.m. A male entered the store, jumped the pharmacy counter and started grabbing medicine off the shelves, cops said, before he was apprehended by a security guard. The guard told the man to empty his pockets, and a confrontation and fight ensued. The thief dropped everything but two Accu-Chek blood glucose monitoring systems and ran off.
