The man allegedly crawled out from the vehicle and slurred "What happened?" said a Carroll Gardens witness at the scene.

Update: Thursday, Dec. 13 3:10 pm

The 76th Precinct responded to Patch on Thursday afternoon with details confirming the car accident that took place Tuesday night.

According to their report, on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8:25 p.m. a man driving a burgundy 1997 Toyota Camry was traveling Southeast on Huntington Street off of Court Street when he struck three vehicles, overturned, and crashed into a fourth car.

Vehicles 1 and 2 were sideswiped on the driver’s side, while vehicle 3 was struck in the rear end, allegedly causing the Camry to overturn and hit into vehicle 4.

Vehicle 4 sustained a cracked windshield and damages to the passenger’s side, said cops.

The driver was arrested by officers of the 76th Precinct and charged with DWI, wreckless driving and refusal to take a breathalyzer test.

Cops said that the driver survived the accident uninjured and that he does not live in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood, according to the information provided in his accident report.

A drunk driver flipped his car at the intersection of Court Street and Huntington Street late Tuesday night, according to an onlooker.

Police responded to a call that there was a DWI off the Court Street thoroughfare on Tuesday night, a witness said. Upon arrival at the scene, they tended to a man who had seemingly flipped his own car, the witness told Patch.

"I heard [the crash] then looked out the window," said Carroll Gardens resident Jeff Anzulewicz, who ran down from his apartment to help. "A guy crawled out then said 'What happened?' very, very drunk."

According to Anzulewicz, after revewing the driver for any visible injuries police then cuffed him and escorted him to a nearby ambulance.

"Pretty insane and surreal," said Anzulewicz. "Looked like the guy took the turn too wide and fast."

Officers of the 76th Precinct did not respond on Wednesday to inquiries regarding the accident. Stay with Patch for updates.
