Deaf Boy Struck By Taxi is Brain Dead, Police Say

The 5-year-old has been in critical condition since Saturday.

The deaf 5-year-old who was struck by a taxi at the corner of Hicks Street and Amity Street on Saturday evening is brain dead according to a quote from police sources that ran in The New York Daily News Monday morning.

Young Timothy Keith was walking with his parents en route to the Brooklyn Bridge . 

According to the article, the boy is currently being treated at University Hospital of Brooklyn-SUNY Downstate Medical Center. The driver of the yellow cab, who told police he was unable to stop in time, has not been charged.
