Thousands in Property Snatched From Lincoln Place Home

Some lucky person or persons made off with more than $4,000 in property taken from a Lincoln Place apartment.

The victim told police she left her apartment at 9:30 p.m. on July 28 to go to a bar, leaving her front bedroom window open. The woman came back at 1 a.m. and went to bed. When she woke up, she realized $4,059 in property was missing, including her MacBook Pro, an instrument, her sunglasses, a bottle of whiskey and a purple flower plant. She told police the window was in the same place when she returned.

A possible hand smudge was found on the window and a foot print was found on a garbage can cover on the garbage pale located directly outside the woman's window. A neighbor who was home did not see or hear anything suspicious.
