Assault with Baseball Bat

A 70-year-old man was assaulted by a 55-year-old male at the corner of Bond and Baltic Streets on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 10 p.m. The assault began after an argument got heated. After first being kicked in the mouth, the victim was hit with a baseball bat to the torso, resulting in pain and bruising. He was taken to Methodist Hospital. The assaulter was arrested.

Window Smasher

At just 11 minutes to midnight on December 15 a 21-year-old male, Timothy Cordoba, threw a metal chair through a window at 4 Verona St. in Red Hook. He was arrested for criminal mischief.

Domestic Dispute

At 2 a.m. on December 14, a 38-year-old man was arrested at 30 Bush St. in Red Hook. The victim, 24, reporter her husband punched her several times, causing swelling, before grabbing a knife and threatening his wife with this warning, "I'm gonna kill you." The man's cousin intervened, cops said. The man was arrested for assault, intent to cause injury and criminal possession of a weapon.
