Cop of the Month in the 84 Precinct: PO Patrick Cohoon

Robberies up 32 percent in the precinct.

On August 25, a Boerum Hill resident witnessed a burglary taking place. That resident called 911 and officers from the 84 Precinct formed a perimeter around the property in an effort to catch the crook.

Meanwhile, Police Officer Patrick Cohoon went to Bergen Street and started a canvass. He saw two males walking in the distance, holding computer equipment. One fled, and one was caught by Cohoon. The thief had a stolen laptop computer in his possession.

He was arrested and charged with robbery. As it turned out, the same man was charged with robbing five different properties in the area. His accomplice was also tracked down and arrested. All the property missing from the five properties was recovered.
