Brooklyn Cash for Guns Buyback

You may surrender as many guns as you wish, no questions asked. But you will only receive payment for up to three.

 

The following announcement was made by the :

On Saturday, September 15, the NYPD, the NYC Council, the Kings County District Attorney, and the NYPD Brooklyn Clergy Coalition have sponsored a program that will pay cash for an operable firearm, no questions asked.

The exchange is offering $200 for a handgun and $20 for a rifle or shotgun.

The hours of the program will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church, located at 455 Evergreen Avenue between Woodbine and Palmetto Streets.

Of note:

  • Guns must be placed in a plastic or paper bag or box. 
  • If transporting the gun by car, the gun must be transported in the trunk of the car.    
  • After the gun is screened by officers and determined to be operable, you will be issued a cash card. 
  • You may surrender as many guns as you wish, but you will only receive payment for up to three.
