Bicycle Theft on Carroll Street

According to the 76 Precinct community newsletter, other recent arrests in late September and early October made were of individuals police believed to have committed some of the area's .

"Over the course of the past three weeks there has been a steep decline in the
number of reported robberies," said the newsletter.

Bike Swipe

A 32-year-old male chained his green Kilo Pro bicycle up on Carroll Street between Court and Clinton streets on October 12 at 8:30 a.m. When he returned on October 15 just after noon, it was gone, cops said.

Attempted Commercial Burglary

A thief or thieves attempted to break into a fast food establishment on Smith Street between West 9th and Huntington streets between October 8 and 10, cops said. When the 37-year-old male came back to his business he found the front chain broken and the door damaged, but the thief did not get inside or steal anything.
