Armed Robbery at a Fourth Avenue Bodega

The NYPD are seeking the public's assistance with finding the suspect who stuck up a bodega near St. Marks Place for cash on Monday.

A man, armed with a gun, stuck up a bodega on Fourth Avenue and made off with cash, cigarettes, an iPhone and Metro cards on Monday, Feb. 13, according to police.

At around 4:20 a.m., a man allegedly walked into Slope Natural Plus on Fourth Avenue at St. Marks Place, whipped out a silver firearm and firmly stated, "If you want to live don't do anything.”

Police said that the suspect, a black or dark skinned Hispanic man standing about 6-feet, forced the two employees, an 18-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, into a storage locker in the back of the store and told them not to move. 

Then, according to police, the suspect, who is thought to be 20 to 25 years old and weighing about 150 pounds, took an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes, Metro cards and an iPhone before running out of the store.

The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance with finding and identifying the suspect, a 6-foot black or dark skinned Hispanic man thought to be 20 to 25 years of age and weighing about 150 pounds, wanted in connection to the armed robbery.
