76 Pct Steps Up Enforcement on Hicks

Eight speeding tickets have been issued in the past week.

In response to between Hamilton Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, the 76 Precinct has stepped up its level of enforcement to prohibit dangerous driving.

Eight tickets have been issued for speeding in the past week, according to a spokesman for the local police unit, who said that officers will now be periodically stationed on the street with a radar gun to catch offenders. In addition, increased signage has been installed at various intersections. 

"Hopefully people racing down Hicks will get the point," said Maureen Hogan, president of the Kane Street Association, who has been lobbying in an effort to install speed bumps and other safety measures to the roadway.
