18 Bags of Marijuana Seized in Arrest at Phil's Crummy Corner

Officers of Brooklyn's 76th Precinct were called after the suspect assaulted a female.

Eighteen bags of marijuana were found on a man during an arrest at a Columbia Waterfront bar, according to cops.

On Saturday, April 20, police responded to a call that an assault had taken place at Phil's Crummy Corner, located 323 Columbia Street, at 4:30 a.m.

According to the report filed at the 76th Precinct, a Brooklyn man struck the female victim in the face, causing a bloody nose, redness and swelling to the face, cops said. As a result Leon Richey, 21, was arrested on site and charged with assault.

Before being cuffed, Richey attempted to discard 18 bags of marijuana, by throwing them on the ground as officers approached him, cops said.

The victim was previously unacquainted with her assailant, according to the report.
