Parent Talk: Extreme Couponing in Brooklyn?

Are you a bargain hunter? Got tips to share?

I’m fascinated by the new TV show Extreme Couponing on TLC. If you haven’t seen it, the show profiles two different people who are experts at saving hundreds of dollars on trips to the grocery store. Of course, these people don’t live in Brooklyn, which means they have room to stockpile products like paper towels and soap. When I watch the show, I always wonder how I can incorporate some of these money saving tips into my urban parenting lifestyle.

Does anybody have any tips on how to save money while shopping in Brooklyn? Do you peruse the Internet in search of coupon codes? Do you use websites that offer local deals like Groupon? Do you clip coupons from the Pennysaver? Do you use money saver cards at chain stores like CVS?

We’d love to hear your Extreme Couponing strategies for shopping in Brooklyn.
